Transitioning into the final phases

Developing a Road Map for Final Design Concepts.  On March 29th we cleaned up our studio to make room for the next round of pin-ups. We finalized our Master plan and worked to develop a universal base map for all future reference. We also came up with layouts for both the historical and road history timeline. Revisiting The Site

Lower Broadway on a Warm Saturday Morning  On Saturday March 31st the studio took another visit to the site to focus on the newly coined residential/institutional district, commercial district, and gateway opportunities. We analyzed existing green space and focused on how people were interacting with the landscape Click here for more details on our site visit. 

Masterplan Progress

Consolidating Our Ideas Into an Early Master Plan. On March 27th we began to further analyze our master plans and eventually came up with an early stage final plan with cohesive elements from prior explorations. Our goal is to create neighborhood identity through social and physical connectivity. In hopes of connecting Lower Broadway residences with the each other and their surroundings. Faculty Review Session & Design Charette

How Far We've Come and Where We're Headed. On March 20th we presented our progress to date and received feedback from the faculty and staff at the Landscape Architecture Department. Following our presentation, the next day in studio the students began to sketch preliminary design ideas on trace.  Click here to learn more about our presentation and design work!
